I’m 33 years old.

My real name is Luc Lachance, but most people call me Lou. The people around me know that I enjoy making videos and playing Dek Hockey. What they often don’t realize, though, is how much I love listening to music.

When I was 14, a former classmate once asked me:

 

“How do you always find all this good music?”

The truth is, I simply put on a music channel on YouTube and let it play. Whether I’m driving, cleaning the house, or doing dishes with my Google Home on, music is almost always playing in the background. Those channels helped me discover artists from many different genres and slowly expand my musical library. Whenever a song caught my attention, I would immediately write it down.

I’ve always liked discovering a song before hearing it everywhere on the radio. Music is constantly evolving, just like we are. While we listen to our favorite songs, new artists are emerging all the time, often without us even noticing right away. This website is simply my way of sharing some of the music, moods, and playlists that have stayed with me over the years.

 

This website has no commercial purpose whatsoever. So why do I do this? Mostly because of my sister, Véronik. You may understand a little more by exploring some of my playlists. Each one also includes a short description explaining its concept or what inspired it.

Ever since subscribing to Spotify and SoundCloud, I’ve enjoyed creating playlists of all kinds. I like switching vibes depending on the moment, my mood, or the energy of the day. If some of these playlists resonate with you, that’s great. If not, that’s perfectly fine too. The goal is simply to share a small part of my musical world.

 

And why “Grapefruit”?

Simply because I love grapefruit!
