GRAPEFRUIT

✏️ pleasant poetry.

This playlist brings together tracks where the lyrics take as much space as the music itself. Not only because of what is being said, but because of the way words are written, structured, and delivered.
I’ve always found it interesting how some artists transform experiences, thoughts, or emotions into writing.
In some songs, the lyrics almost feel like poetry placed over music. More introspective, narrative, or lyrically focused tracks. Some songs are calmer and reflective. Others carry more intensity or energy. But the writing usually stays at the center.
This playlist works well when you take a little more time to listen carefully.
Not necessarily to analyze every line, but simply to let the lyrics take their place within the music. Somewhere between reflection, personal emotions, and wordplay. A space where the lyrics become almost as important as the instrumentals.
This selection is not trying to define what rap “should be.”
It simply gathers tracks where the writing stood out to me over time.
Some songs stay because of the beat. Others stay because of the words. This playlist exists somewhere between the two.
